Mohammad Reza Fallahzadeh / Abu Baqer
The deputy commander of the Qods Force is Mohammad Reza Fallahzadeh / Mohmadreza Fallah Zadeh, also known as Abu Baqer. Fallahzadeh took on this role in 2021 and previously held various military and political positions, including leadership roles during the Iran-Iraq War and in Syria, where he commanded Iranian forces during the Battle of Aleppo. His career also includes serving as the governor of Yazd Province.
Some media outlets of the Zionist regime had claimed 20 September 2024 that Sardar Fallahzadeh, the deputy commander of IRGC's Quds Force, was also present in the terrorist attack on Beirut. Sardar Mohammadreza Fallahzadeh, the deputy of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, attended as meeting of the system officials and ambassadors of the Islamic countries with the supreme leader of the revolution. This presence took place while some Israeli media had claimed that Sardar Falahzadeh was also present and was martyred in the attack on the building where the Hezbollah commanders met in the suburbs of Beirut.
Mohammadreza Fallahzadeh was born in 1341 in Abarkoh, Yazd. He is a military figure and a politician who worked as the deputy commander of IRGC Quds Force. He was the governor of Yazd between 1386 and 1392 in the government of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and from 1397 to 1400 he was also the deputy coordinator of Quds Corps. He was one of the middle commanders of IRGC during the war with Iraq and later became the commander of Basij and participated in the suppression of student protests in 1378. Falahzadeh was previously the deputy coordinator of IRGC Quds Force, which is considered the third senior position in the hierarchy of Quds Force.
Sardar Fallahzadeh is one of the old commanders of the IRGC and the former commander of Al-Ghadir Brigade in the 19th Fajr Fars Division. During the presidency of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, he was the governor of Yazd for six years and went to Syria in 1392 when the government of Hassan Rouhani took office.
Brigadier General Fallahzadeh was one of Qassem Soleimani's close assistants in Syria in all axes of the conflict in Syria, and he is one of the five main commanders of the IRGC in the battle of Aleppo in 2016-2014, which the IRGC named a part of Operation Nasr. Brigadier General Fallahzadeh, due to his performance in the Battle of Aleppo and the Syrian War, was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in March 2017 on the recommendation of Qassem Soleimani and with the approval of the Leader of the Revolution, and was elected to the position of Deputy Coordinator of the Quds Force. In this position, he replaced Asghar Sabouri, who also has forty-one years of experience in the IRGC.
Despite the bravery and serious responsibilities of this great general, his name has rarely been mentioned in the media. Of course, a large part of the anonymity of Sardar Fallahzadeh was due to his own request, to the extent that following the approval of the Yazd city council to name a place after Sardar Mohammadreza Fallahzadeh square, he sent a letter and requested this area to be named after Hazrat Khatam al-Anbia (PBUH). Or name other elders of Yazd province.
In a letter to the Islamic Council of the city of Yazd, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Fallahzadeh wrote in this regard: Thanking for the care and attention towards this soldier of Islam and the servant of the Islamic Revolution and the dear people of Iran, especially the faithful people of Yazd province, I was informed that a street in the city of Yazd It has been named after this insignificant servant, and this is while Yazd province has had and has many famous and unknown scholars, thinkers, mujahidans, and servants, who are preferable to this lowly person.
In a part of his memories with Martyr Soleimani in Syria, Abu Baqer says: "Syria had a difficult situation, which we will get to later. The issue of Syria was a matter of faith and jihad against the enemies of God, that is, a war of right and wrong. When I entered Syria, Haj Qasim asked me, "Do you want to stay?" I said, "By the grace of God." He said, "Motivation, determination and patience are needed in this direction". I said, "God willing, there is will and patience" because at that time I did not know about the position of the supreme leader of the revolution (Madazaleh) in Syria, I said that I have a question about the motive because the motive is an ideological issue. What is Hazrat Agha (Supreme Leader)'s opinion about activities in Syria?" It was lit up. He replied, "Abu Baqir! From the very first day until today, everything I have done has been following the order of the jurisprudence of Hazrat Imam (RA) and after Imam Hazrat Agha (Mudazalah). Sometimes he joked with me about this first encounter; But when I heard this, my motivation became serious because there is the front line of resistance and with the order of the governor, and we must be present."
America, in a joint action with Britain, sanctioned Mohammadreza Fallahzadeh, the deputy commander of IRGC's Quds Force. Britain also placed three units of the Quds Force on the sanctions list. The US Treasury Department's Office of Assets Control (OFAC) issued a statement on February 27 (March 8), announcing that it has sanctioned Mohammadreza Fallahzadeh, the deputy commander of the IRGC's Quds Force, in a joint action with Britain.
In its statement, the US Treasury Department also said that Ibrahim Al-Nashri, a member of Yemen's Houthi militia, as well as two companies registered in Hong Kong and the Marshall Islands, have been sanctioned. These two companies own and operate a ship that has been used to transport Iranian goods to China and sell these items for the benefit of the Houthis and the Quds Force. According to this statement, these two companies have sent more than 100 million dollars worth of Iranian goods to commercial companies in China on behalf of the Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The statement of the US Treasury Department states: "The Ministry of Defense of the Islamic Republic of Iran loaded this cargo on a Panama-flagged vessel named Kohana in January 2024, owned by the Hong Kong Kohana Company." The name of the shipping company "Cap Tees" is also visible in the list of new US sanctions . According to the US, this company owns and operates a ship that is used to transport Iranian goods, and the profit from their sale is used to support the Houthis and the Quds Force. The US Department of Treasury emphasized in its statement that "the army supports the attacks of the Houthis on international ships in the Red Sea and sends them weapons and information."
Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Fallahzadeh added at a gathering of Fars mosques: America used to have the will to occupy countries or overthrow governments through coups, but now it does not have this power and has lost the ability to form coalitions. He continued: America is facing a problem in the economic field, how to control China and India, and it has not been able to impose a crippling and fragile embargo on the Islamic system.
Stating that Iran's Islamic Revolution has changed the world order that was once created by three people in Tehran, Falahzadeh said: After this victory, the enemy launched conspiracies to divide Iran, imposed war and street riots in 59 and 60 and in Ayatollah Khamenei's leadership period also started three wars around Iran, brought up the issue of separation of three islands and imposed economic sanctions, cultural NATO by producing the content of the cultural army from the heart of America and the Zionist regime to antagonize the religion of Iranian youth. started and then launched ISIS and combined war.
The deputy commander of the Quds Force stated: Despite all this, the Imams of the revolution implemented their four basic plans; The first is serving Islam and the second is serving the Shia and Shia schools, the result of which is the establishment of a Shia government in Iraq, the expansion of Shiism in Africa, and an increase of 20 million pilgrims in Jamkaran's holy mosque alone. He added: The third program of the Imams of the Revolution was to serve Islamic Iran. Before the revolution, we were backward in terms of security, infrastructure, and economy, and while America attacked Hiroshima with a bomb, Reza Khan Brno's weapons were imported.
Fallahzadeh added: In the field of infrastructure, while there were only 15 dams in the country, the Islamic Republic has built 200 dams, and more importantly, we have gained the knowledge of dam construction, silage construction, road construction, and petrochemical industry. Falahzadeh added: The Iraqi resistance has narrowed the field against America inside Iraq and Syria and has carried out about 100 drone and missile operations towards Golan, Ashdod and Haifa port, and Hezbollah has also engaged three Zionist armies and sometimes It has destroyed all the trenches and armored and mobile equipment of the enemy up to a depth of 25 kilometers. The deputy commander of the Quds Force said: However, the Zionist regime has narrowed the scope of the people and massacred 40,000 people, which awakened consciences, members of the media, and scholars all over the world should carry out their mission to enlighten elite and public opinion.
He stated: The structure of the Zionist regime was formed by terror, and since 1936, 280 effective resistance figures have been martyred. Stating all the failures of the Zionist regime against the axis of resistance, Falahzadeh said: Israel has now turned to negotiations to release its prisoners, and Hamas is requesting a stable ceasefire and a timetable for the withdrawal of the Zionist regime from Gaza and the exchange of Zionist prisoners with prisoners before Al-Aqsa has been stormed. The deputy commander of the Quds Force said: Mosques are the place to attract people's forces and send them to face the enemies of God, as the Prophet's Mosque was like this during the time of the Prophet. Mosques also played a role in the Islamic revolution and the imposed war.
With the passing away of Sardar Hijazi, the successor of the IRGC Quds Force Commander, Sardar Mohammad Reza Fallahzadeh was introduced as the new IRGC Quds Force Commander at the suggestion of the IRGC Commander and with the approval of the Supreme Commander. After the death of Sardar Hijazi, Sardar Falahzadeh was introduced as the new successor of Sardar Qaani in Quds Corps. In the records of Sardar Fallahzadeh, the command of the 33rd Al-Mahdi Division, the command of the 19th Fajr Division, and the command of the Corps in Yazd, Isfahan, Fars provinces, as well as the command of the Karbala construction camp can be seen. In his last position, Falahzadeh was the deputy coordinator of Quds Force.
General "Mohammedreza Falahzadeh" was one of the companions of Haj Qasim Soleimani in the war with ISIS, and he was named "Abu Baqir" on the battlefield, and now everyone knows him by this name.
