Launch Window Extended for Upcoming Boeing Delta II Launch

CAPE CANAVERAL AIR STATION, Fla., June 05, 1999 -- A Boeing Delta II 7420-10 stands ready at Cape Canaveral Air Station (CCAS),Fla., for the launch of four Globalstar satellites for Space Systems/Loral on June 8. Space Systems/Loral has extended the launch window to three minutes from the previously planned one-minute time frame. The launch window still opens at 10:20:50 a.m. EDT.

Live Satellite Broadcast FeedBoeing and Loral will broadcast the launch live at 10:10 a.m. EDT. The Ku-band transmission will be on: Telstar 5, Transponder 3 lower, at 97 degrees West longitude with vertical polarization. The downlink frequency in RF-band is 11.778 GHz or L-band 1028 MHz. Bars and tone will be broadcast starting at 9:30 a.m. EDT.
