Rodong Sinmun on Daily Growing DPRK-China Friendship

    Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Thursday in a signed article carried in connection with the holding today of a ground-breaking ceremony of the glass factory to be donated by the Chinese government to the DPRK says this event represents one of the biggest symbols of the DPRK-China friendship and clearly proves its great vitality. It goes on:
    A modern glass factory to be built by the concerted efforts of the Korean and the Chinese people eloquently proves the DPRK-China friendly bonds growing stronger in accordance with the common cause and interests of the two countries in the new century.
    The people of the two countries have long waged a joint protracted arduous struggle for sovereignty, independence and socialism against imperialism and fully supported their just cause each other. The history of the blood-sealed DPRK-China friendship continues generation after generation, standing all sorts of storm and stress.
    The two countries are taking measures to boost the bilateral cooperation in various fields including politics, economy and culture in the spirit of the meeting and talks held between their top leaders. The construction of the glass factory is part of these measures.
    The flower garden of the DPRK-China friendship will bloom more beautifully in the new century thanks to the concerted efforts of the parties, governments and peoples of the two countries.
