Arirang Performed in Celebration of DPRK's Birthday

Pyongyang, September 10 (KCNA) -- A grand gymnastic and artistic performance Arirang was given at the May Day Stadium Friday evening in celebration of the 57th anniversary of the DPRK. Choe Thae Bok, Yang Hyong Sop, Jong Ha Chol, Kim Jung Rin, Choe Yong Rim, Jang Song U and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Social Democratic Party Kim Yong Dae took the platform.
The tribune of honor was also occupied by Ko Tok U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan who is leading the congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan.
Foreign guests staying in the DPRK watched the performance. The performers impressively portrayed the history of the Korean nation which has traversed the road of victory and glory under the seasoned and veteran leadership of the peerlessly great men through music, dance, gymnastics, acrobatics, rhythmic background scenes, peculiar stage settings, electronic displays and laser lightings deep in national emotion and high in ideological and artistic value.
