An Engineer Column of one Officer, four Junior Commissioned Officers and 44 Other Ranks was deployed to conduct rescue operation for 41 workers trapped in a tunnel in Uttarakhand. The Indian Army acted upon the requisition received from civil administration, Uttarakhand.
This information was given by Raksha Rajya Mantri Shri Ajay Bhatt in a written reply to Shri Pradeep Kumar Singh and others in the Lok Sabha today.
