TEHRAN (ISNA)-The IAEA Spokeswomen Gill Tudor refused to make comment on Iranian letter to the IAEA which has invited the agency's inspectors to visit the counry's nuclear facilities.
"The IAEA does not make comments on receiving Soltanieh's letter and whether we give reply to it or not. The issue will be reported in the next Board of Governors' meeting in March," Gill Tudor told ISNA.
The IAEA Spokeswoman said, "Letters between the agency and its member states are confidential and we do not make comments on these cases before media not only regarding Iran but also regarding other countries."
Iranian envoy to the IAEA Ali Asghar Soltanieh told Reuters Tuesday that Iran has sent a letter to the IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano Dec. 9 which invited some agency's officials including the Deputy Director General for Safeguards Herman Nackaerts to travel to Iran.
"I have held talks with the IAEA officials and we are planning for the visit," Soltanieh said.
He added the country plans to hold talks on any question and move towards removing ambiguities.
He said the U.N. agency had given a positive response to the invitation.
