OIC General Secretariat Welcomes Ceasefire Agreement between Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel and Urges its Implementation

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the announcement by Mr Donald Trump, President of the United States of America, of a ceasefire agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel, following the recent military confrontation in the region.
The General Secretariat hailed the efforts deployed to arrive at this agreement and urged that it should be complied with, respected and implemented. The General Secretariat also expressed the hope that this would bring about de-escalation and calm, and bolster the foundations of security, peace and stability in the entire region.
