Saudi Arabia Welcomes US President's Announcement of Ceasefire in Regional Conflict

Riyadh, June 24, 2025, SPA -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement today expressing Saudi Arabia's welcome of the announcement by US President Donald Trump regarding a ceasefire agreement between the parties involved in the regional escalation, and its appreciation for the efforts made to de-escalate tensions.
The ministry stated that the Kingdom looks forward to all parties honoring their commitment to calm, refraining from the use or threat of force. It expressed hope that the agreement will contribute to restoring security and stability in the region and help avert the risks of continued escalation.
The Kingdom also reiterated its firm position in supporting dialogue and diplomatic solutions as the preferred means to resolve regional disputes and conflicts, based on the principles of respect for state sovereignty and the pursuit of lasting security, stability, and prosperity in the region and beyond.
