No Iranian injured in Karbala bombings

TEHRAN (ISNA) - No Iranian pilgrim was injured in Tuesday bombings in Karbala, said representative of Iranian Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to Iraq Javad Khani on Wednesday.
The bombings in Karbala left one dead and 19 others injured.
"There were simultaneous explosions in three gas stations on Tuesday in Karbala. One of the gas stations was filled with people and workers. The incident claimed life of an individual and left 19 others wounded," he told ISNA.
"No Iranian pilgrim was in the gas stations at the time of explosions," he added.
Also regarding security in Karbala on the verge of celebrations of 15th night of Sha'ban month, marking the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi, the twelfth Shiites leader, he said, "Iraqi police has taken tough security for the ceremony in pilgrimage cities and no problem has been seen so far."
