A short time ago today (Sunday, 29 June 2025), Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Sa'ar visited the site of the missile strike fired from Iran at Bat Yam together with the German Federal Minister of the Interior, Alexander Dobrindt. Also in attendance were Bat Yam's Mayor Zvika Brut and Lieutenant-Colonel Elad Edri from the Home Front Command. Later today, the two ministers will hold a working meeting.
After visiting the site, the two delivered statements to the media.
FM Sa'ar: "I thank my friend Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt for coming on a solidarity visit to Israel and for his friendship and consistent support for Israel over the years. Israel acted to remove an immediate existential threat and did so successfully. Now, the international system has a duty to take concrete steps against the Iranian nuclear program, in light of the Iranian regime's attacks on the IAEA and its announcement that it will stop cooperating with it. It's time for the E-3 countries - the UK, Germany and France - to activate the snapback, a concrete step that is to their disposal."
