Pakistan arrests Taliban leader

Islamabad, Oct 18, IRNA -- Pakistani police have arrested a senior wanted Taliban leader in country's northwest, police sources said here Wednesday.
Qari Saeed, chief of the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan’s Orakzai chapter, was arrested in a police raid in Nowshera district, they said.
Qari Saeed was arrested with an accomplice. Police sources said they suspected Qari Saeed was in town to collaborate a sabotage attempt on a gathering being organized to observe the second death anniversary of the son of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain.
Rashid Hussain was gunned down in July 2010 by Taliban.
