Taipei, Dec. 13 (CNA) A blog launched by the army in late November designed to assist communication between enlisted men and their commanding officers through e-mails, text messaging and other channels has helped solve dozens of problems, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) said Tuesday.
The blog, launched Nov. 28, has been visited 11,000 times and has helped resolve many questions asked by soldiers and their families, said Hsueh Yung-he, an officer of the communications, electronics and information division of the Army Command Headquarters (ACH).
Text messaging, e-mails and blogs are familiar communication channels for young soldiers and officers, and the blog includes many subjects such as sharing work experiences and guidelines, Hsueh added.
The blog was established to help communications and bridge the gap between commanders and their men. Soldiers can post personal issues on the blog's message board, said MND spokesman Lo Shao-ho at a press conference.
