On November 1, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Türkiye Mevlut Cavusoglu.
As a follow-up to the contacts between the President of the Russian Federation and the President of the Republic of Türkiye, the two foreign ministers continued the discussion of the situation related to Ukraine's use of maritime humanitarian corridors for military purposes and reaffirmed that reliable guarantees needed to be granted in order to make sure that such acts are not repeated as they undermine the efforts to carry out the Black Sea Grain Initiative supported by the UN Secretary General.
