Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke today with UK Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss. The Secretary and Foreign Secretary Truss reiterated their condemnation of Russia's premeditated, unprovoked, and unjustified invasion of Ukraine. The Secretary thanked the UK for its steadfast support of Ukraine and its swift and coordinated actions to exact further severe costs on Russia for its actions. The Secretary and Foreign Secretary Truss discussed continued coordination to urge Russia to cease its military action against Ukraine immediately, withdraw its forces, and pursue diplomacy to avert further conflict.
