The Nizhnyaya Tura national-level nuclear weapons storage facility is near the Sverdlovsk-45/Nizhnyaya Tura nuclear weapons production plant. There are actually two larger storages several miles apart and several miles from the production plant. These sites were photographed multiple times are visible in Corona Missions: 1115-1, 15 September 1971; 1111-1, 23 and 24 July 1970; 1048-2, 2 October 1968; 1033-1, 25 May 1966; 1016-2, 21 January 1965; 9053, 2 April 1963; and 9031, 3 March 1962. Nine or more storage bunkers are contained within the two sites. The rail-line connecting the storage facilities to the plant is clearly visible. Perimeter fences, housing areas, and maintenance buildings are also discernable.
